Summer Cup

This year, we have three Catholic Institute teams playing four competitions in the Summer Cup.

Here are the results of some of the recent competitions held at the club or in which teams from the club participated.  Congratulations to all our winners and runners up.

Club Championship

The Tennis Club Championships, sponsored by Halifax Insurance, took place from 12th May, with the finals taking place on Friday, May 16th.  High quality tennis was the order of the night, with a number of the matches being decided by third set tie-breaks.  The many first time winners reflect the current vibrancy in the Club.  There were two double winners – Sharon Robertson and Gordon Grace.  The Ladies’ “A” Singles title was retained by Deirdre Hogan, while the Men’s “A” final was a repeat of last years match between Paul Beary and Tony Kelleher, with Tony reversing last year’s result to take the title.
