Again thank you for your support during the fundraising draw and we will keep you informed.

22nd January 2006

Christmas Party: The Christmas party will take place immediately after the prize-giving for the autumn doubles.  Our own Denis Allen will be providing the music.  Tickets (€10.00) can be obtained from any member of the social committee or can be obtained on the night.  So, if you are participating in the tennis, be sure to pack your dancing shoes; if you will not be participating in the tennis, come along and watch what promises to be some very high-quality matches and then boogie the night away.  Feel free to bring friends, relatives, etc.

21st November 2005

Request for sponsors: This is a request from the Social Committee for help.  As you know we organise various events during the year and try to raise funds by having raffles during the year.  At the moment we are entering a particularly expensive time with the Children’s Christmas Party and the Adults Party.  We would appreciate if any members could donate prizes for raffles e.g. wine, gift tokens etc.  If any of you could help us out, we would very much appreciate it.  Any donations could be given to any member of the social committee.

450 Draw: The last two 450 Club Draws took place on Friday night and the results of these and the earlier draws can be found here. Congratulations to all the winners. The Tennis Section wishes to thank everyone who supported the Draw and also those whose hard work brought it to a successful conclusion. As you all know we have now completed the 450 club draw and thank you for your very generous support. It is hoped that work on the courts will commence in the spring time.

25th September 2005

Autumn Doubles: Arising from some late withdrawls, we have had to slightly re-jig the draw for the autumn doubles.  The amended drawsheet is posted here; you can also access this from the Calendar of Events page.  The changes mainly affect the Purple group with some minor changes to the Yellow and Red groups.  The other three groups are exactly as per the sheet sent out and posted previously.  The order of play had also to be changed, to accommodate a 6-pair group.  The OOP for the 7 and 8 pair groups remain as was.
